From the paintings on the walls of the dragon's lair
Comes the tale of the sitting bear

The lady hawk try to sing a swan song
And the dragonfly became the guide
With the wise night eagle's site in the den of blackened light
She learned to fly into the night
When the wind from the wolf's cry frightened all the dogs
She cried, but heard the call
Of the dove and bluejay cuttin' through the fog
The wren sighed, but she didn't fall

When the monkey vines swallowed up the deer trails
The turtle took the time, to make a plan
When the scurrying squirrels led the cats into a whirl
The rabbit's eye saw rebel land
Well the hawk saw the blue fish play chameleon
While the slate grey beast patiently endured the sun
She felt the release from falcon's stare
And slept beside the sitting bear


If the winged or the horned horse takes you for a ride
Know that the silent lady lion knows when the bull will win the fight
So retreat with the dragon or believe if you dare
Behold the tale of the sitting bear
